The project
Volti nel Volto, at the Pinacoteca Albertina in Turin, was an exhibition on the iconography of the face on the Shroud. For its final rooms we produced two films: one shot live, the other in motion graphics.
The first follows an artist’s hand redrawing the face, stroke after stroke. The second sets icons and sacred images in motion: the figures, separated into layers and arranged in three-dimensional space, gain depth through a parallax effect.
We handled visual research, location filming, editing, 3D compositing, motion graphics, colour correction, sound design and mix, through to delivery for the installation.
