The project
For the Madame Reali exhibition at the Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi we designed and produced an animated video in immersive projection: a room where visitors step into the carnival festivities of the Savoy courts, between the 16th and the 19th century.
Allegorical floats, knights, sleighs and stage machinery leave the period engravings and drawings and move around the audience. The piece introduces the typical entertainments of the court carnival, with the wonder those festivities were meant to inspire.
From the archive to the room
We handled every stage: analysis of the iconographic sources, definition of the visual language, animation and compositing, sound design, then technical finalisation, on-site installation and testing. The content was adapted to the projection room and to the visitors’ route.
